Multinational in the retail sector with extensive experience in travel retail in more than 60 countries is looking to expand their Data & Analytics team by incorporating a Data Scientist

Your new role

• Responsible for identifying new analytic trends/ data needs and analytic solutions. Works with the Analytics Business Analyst and other key stakeholders to generate hypotheses and create analytic models that answer impactful business questions
• Designs appropriate statistical models to derive relevant answers from datasets
• Parses, cleanses and manipulates large amounts of structured and unstructured data for analysis
• Carries out quality assurance testing to ensure the models deliver insights accurately
• Works with data sourcing team to develop, test, implement, and maintain analytic models, which may include identification of att ributes, exploratory data analysis, data transformation, and temporal layout
• Collaborates with business to review data sources, data inconsistencies, and business logic for initiating data discovery
• Delves into complex data from systems to discover hidden relationships and useful information • Performs text, quantitative, statistical, financial and operational analysis

• Experience modelling data using leading analytic tools and relational data structures
• Programming experience in SQL Python, Java, and R
• Statistical modelling and machine learning expertise in various domains
