Our client, global company of industrial sector, especially in maritime. This company is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager based in Spain and have experience of selling technical projects/products/services to industrial companies.
Drives the sales to achieve the given targets being responsible for the performance and development of the sales team. Develops new sales channels to cover the Spanish and Portugal market. Focuses in account management working together. Updates a clear picture of market situation and drive the potential segment focus. Maintains and develops strong relationships with customers in a very specialized field.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities are Lead the sales activities within Iberia (Spain & Portugal), implementing the sales strategy agreed. Coordinate sales team activities and provide support and coaching to the team. Fulfill own visit plan and ensure visit plan performance of the sales team. Contact customers to build relationships and support presentation materials for customer visits. Actively interact with the rest of business functions (operations, business development, etc) for ensuring a common customer approach. ü Identify customer needs and business opportunities and provide plan for fulfillment. Create strong relationship with customers and key decision makers. ü Follow up of sales activities, fulfillment of visit plan, provide support when required (joint visits, etc) Contract proposals: Lead contract propositions, supervise during negotiation if not handled directly, give final approval before releasing to customer. Annual visit plan proposal. Sales strategy preparation. Sales strategy follow up & implementation. Regular contact with other business functions for market and customer information sharing. ü Interaction with Business Unit in Switzerland for sales meetings, special requests from the Local Business Unit, etc
You must have Engineering Degree, preferably marine or mechanic. Spanish and English (advanced / proficiency). More than five year experience in sales in the marine & stationary business, with wide knowledge of these segments in the Spanish & Portuguese market. Familiar with internal combustion engines technology ü Customer focus & quality. Ownership & Performance. Collaboration & Trust. Willingness to travel around 50% of time, mostly national: up to 4 days per weeks
